reading the preliminary information, it occurs to me that a bachelor's degree is a requirement for CFA examination, and, consequently, certification. Is this a rigid requirement, or, can the academic inadequacy be made up by proficiency built up through experience and hardwork?

yes it can be made up. for people who do not have college degrees, there is a work experience requirement which I think is 4 years. I am not 100% sure. so, you might want to follow up on that. you can go to CFA institute's web site, it will give you all the information you need.

I passed! I did not get a chance to tell you before the exam - but your site was excellent. I will definitely take it next year for Level II.
